Got my Corn today, so pleased with him. The nice folks who brought him to me, just brought him in his faun, which I thought might have been a bad idea. Then i was preparing for them to tell me about leaving him to settle after his journey, but they just got him out, he was fine, and very willing to be held.
Is this normal? Will he be ok to hold tomorrow (leaving him for today and this evening) or should I leave longer?
He's about 8mth old and has been handled everyday.

i would definatly leave him for a week with no handling, just change his water daily so he can smell you and get used to you being there, you might think its not worth waiting but when he stops eating due to the stress of the move and not being let to settle you will wish you had waited that 1 week. |

Congrats Mick. Agree with Lee though, best to leave to settle for a week.
The move, new smells and new surroundings will all be stressfull. |

agree with Lee,
he is in a new place now so will really need to be allowed to settle, plenty of time for him to be handled after his settling in period

Ok I have held him now and he was really relaxed But I think I'll take the advise of Lee etc and leave him for a week to chill, dont want to cause him any stress or feeding probs. Cheers for the advice I knew it was a good idea joining this forum |
