I've been told that when i get my new lil snake that a thertmostat is recommended but not essential whilst in the small enclosure. advice needed please
i have found tht every post on here concerning stats is sound advice, not worth taking any risks so a stat is defo worth while investment.i got one in me faun, wouldnt be without it.

Thermostats will turn off your heatmat when the viv is at the right temp - very occationally Mats can overheat and you end up with crispy fried snake. It's not uber commenn but for the sake of £25 on a mat stat are you willing to take the risk??
A thermostat is 100% essential no matter how big the snake or enclosure. If you are going to use a heat mat (easiest choice), then a habistat mat stat is what your after.
