If the temperature is reading 84f 4 inches above the substrate then your temperature must be way too high. It should be reading about 84 on the substrate. Put the thermometer probe on the substrate. |

you could invest a small amount in a digi thermometer, the dial ones are not very good for giving accurate temps..

i also have a normal bog standard wilkos thermometer as back up on temps that i put in from time to time to check the temps are not to far out...
I got one of these after seeing it mentioned on here. Excellent thermometer at a great price and really fast shipping. I would recommend them to anyone. |
