I've just recently moved my corn into her new viv, and she even fed the day after, so everythings all brilliant, except this morning I spot a tiny brown beetle about 3-4 mm in length and about 1 wide.
I *think* it's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_furniture_beetle or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powderpost_beetlesince I did see wee piles of wood dust beside the bit of wood whilst I had it stored, but I didn't really think too much of them. (I know, stupid, but I was excited about setting up her viv).
I couldn't get a pic of the beetle since I kinda accidentally crushed it when trying to pick it up and it was just a smudge.
I've put the new bit of wood in a tubful of 10% bleach solution and have left it there for now, but I'm just wondering if theres anything I havn't thought of? Also, I'd rather not replace the substrate at the moment unless I have to since as I mentioned, Astra has recently fed so I don't want her to regurge. =(
