Hi folks

Have recently changed the shop where I buy my 2 corns food, and have had a couple of problems with fuzzies/mice bursting before being taken. Does this mean they're "off" or anything dodgy? Don't want to be feeding manky mice to my girls. Would it be harmful?

There was a thread on this not long ago - http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3423

Generally, if you quick-heat a mouse, then there tends to be a bit of trapped air in the stomach, which bursts.
If you leave it to defrost from the morning, then you'll find they rarely burst ^^
It isn't anything to worry about - just the way they're heated up :)

OK thanks - I do defrost overnight and then pour boiling water over just before feeding, to heat up. Do you think it's the hot water?
