I have a new corn snake witch was last years babys, i have only had it for 2 months but with a problem. The breeder said she dont know what gender it is because it is to yung but how can i find out what gender the baby is and how old dose it have to be befor i can find out.
The most common way would be to get it probed or popped but if they are done improperly they can harm your snake. You can compare the shape and length of its tail from the underbelly, males tend to have longer tails and if its sexually mature the tail will be a bit wider at the vent for about 7-12 scale lengths, if a female the tail will be short and abruptly tapered and narrower at the vent. I went by tail for mines but in all honestly its more of an educated guess. If probing is done properly its a definate method and can be done at any age.
I would say probably a reptile shop or a vet maby, i went to my pet shop and they didnt do it so i would say reptile shop specifically over a normal pet shop would do it.
then you will have to upload it to the internet i use sky drive but you have to have a msn addy for that but there is loads of pic houseing web sites out there like photo bucket here is the web address http://photobucket.com/ it's free or was later once again lmao
