actually, its illegal to release any registered pest back into the wild. eg : squirrels, pidegoens, mice, rats etc. humane mouse traps are there so that you can kills the mouse humanly yourself, rather than risk the poor thing breaking its neck and not dying. yoget given a fine if you release a pest animal, hense why if you see an injured pidgeon, sqirrels etc, dont go give it to the rspca, cause all they can do is etiehr heal it and keep it in a cage for hte rest of its lif, or put it down, cause they dont want pest animals taking up space

i know its h9orrible but its true iunfortunatly

Didn't know that, thanks PunkAsF82.

Is a bit daft though isn't it. Yet on the other end of the scale, you'd probably get done if you were to keep it in captivity afterwards.

nah because mice etc are pest animals, as long as you're not abusing htem, it's under your own risk and health that you keep them :) so basically, not illegal, but then you wont get any sympathy if they get loose and give you the black plague or summat :P

Also, anything classed as a pest can be legally shot, but only on private land (I think!? :S) Now it wouldn't be legal if I drove into Trafalgar square and shot all the pigeons. Though I wish I could!

All due to mutations which pests cant be released, and disrubt our eco-system.
