My corn snake has not eaten for four weeks which is unusual as we feed him every 1-2 weeks [one large mouse]. He is 4.5ft long and is about 3years old. Recently he has become extremely lively and always wanting to leave his vivarium. He has shed and looks healthy but we're concerned because he's never acted like this before.

Any advice?

I'd guess he's on the hunt for a mate. He's obviously sexually mature now at 3 years old and this is the right time of year for breeding to naturally occur. Males act like that during the breeding season, perfectly natural.

If he's still got a good weight, I wouldn't be too concerned. Snakes can go a long, long time without food. He's got much more important things on his mind right now.

Keep offering food as before. He'll eventually be hungry enough to resume feeding.

He won't be unhappy if he doesn't find a mate.. It's just that time of year ;p
Snakes will grow differently, so it might be good to throw up a picture of him ^^

There are various things to look out for on an overweight snake..
Skin between the scales, a bulge before his tail.. and I believe inactivity

i'm having the same problem with my cornsnake, he is about the same age, maby a bit older and is about 5ft long, his usual routine when he sheads is: we feed him, he sheads, he poos and a few days later he will eat but he hasent eaten an nearly a month and a half. we phoned up the local snake vet and he said there is nothing to worry about as his corn went for 7 months without feeding. corn snakes just do that apparently
