how long have you had her and how old is she. my first guess is she has just shed and has retained some. |

every 2 months is about normal. with our snow you can really see the eyes go blue when in shed. have you only just noticed the flakey skin or has it been there since you got her? |

Maybe try putting a humid hide in to help her get the old skin off... |

sounds like stuck shed to me, any pics Chrissy? if it is stuck shed a bath then a gently towelling off should remove it, and it's important that it is removed, especially the eye caps and from the tail. the bath should be the same temp as the hot end of the viv, so 28-30*C and about as deep as the body of the snake. make sure you block off any escape routes such as overflows, bath for 10-15 mins to soften the skin then let her work through a towel. |

i will try and get a few pics on friday .. i fed her yesturday so im gunna leave her for a bit
im a bit reluctant to say it remains of a bad shed because i cant find any other random bits of skin like in her viv, if that makes sence lol .. but im starting to think it may be, and the place i got her from didnt tell me about it she has been rubbin her nose on the glass a few days ago but not on her rough hides or branches shes got in there, and i havent seen any of that behaviour the last few days ...
what will the left over shed on the eye caps look like anyway will she have trouble seeing if the eye caps have been on there say about a week or so .. could it do lasting damage to her eyesight
sorry for the mega amount of questions lol cheers for your help gingerpony

It shouldn't do mega amounts of damage in a week, but it's not good either. Try and get them off if you can. Sometimes a wet cotton bud helps. |
