Anyone else have a really shy cornsnake?
Ramesses is extremely shy, he is never out of his cage when people are around and hides whenever i come in...
He also wont eat unless there is no one around and his RUB is covered with a towel...
If its just his personality then thats cool but if not I'd like to know how I can hep him out...

Regular handling should help. Once he gets used to you he should be a little less timid.

As a sweeping generalisation, i've found girls more reclusive than the boys.
the only time the girls are out and about is when they're hungry but the boys are often out to greet me on a morning

cornsnakes, ratsnakes, bullsnakes, boas and day geckos

i handle him every day for about 10 mins (apart from after the feeding obv...) and he is as good as gold when he is in my hands its just that he is shy in the viv...
i think he must just be shy... bless the little tyke
