Hi, ive been looking through plp posts and noticed that plp say that corns should be keep apart, this is the first time for me having snakes which has only been 3 weeks, i got corn around 18mts which is very tamed and is loverly to handle i went to another shop to get some food and saw two snakes together 1 of them being a snow corn which i liked and wanted to buy but the man said that they were a breeding pair and had to be keep together so in order to get the snowcorn i took the pair but im now worried since reading what could happen if two are keeped together any advice on this would be very gratefull in deed.... Thank you.............. |

Even if they are a breeding pair they do not need to be kept together (obviously unless you want them to breed and they are the correct size/weight/health and it is the mating season).
Some people do keep snakes together, but there are always risks that would not be there is seperate. |

The general rule is at least 3, 3 years old, 3 foot long and 3 hundred grams. There is a whole load of stuff here http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1070 about co-habiting that you might want to have a look through before you decide. Mating season is pretty much now so if you do plan to keep them together you need to get reaserching ASAP to get organised. |

Sounds like courting, does the male wiggle a lot when there is breaks in the chasing? And does he practically try to stay right next to her or even on top when chasing? |

if the female just shed it's likely she's ovulating soon so the male will be veeerrry interested in her right now! |
