Hi all im a bit worried about norby hes about 18 months old ive not long changed hes food over from mealworm to morio,but hes not taking the new bugs but eating all hes veg.whats the best way to get him eating again any help would be appreciated. thanks

Well veg is the most important really but staple bugs should really be crickets or locusts over worms due to their high fat content. if beardie has neve had then you may need to de-legg them to start with.

Thanks Tizzy,i got him worms for a treat,hes still not taken any he just looks at them,even with out the legs,Hes eaten hes veg and had a drink,have you got any more ideas please.thanks

If he's eating his veg i wouldn't worry too much if he's still active and alert, maybe sprinkle that with whatever supliment your using (reptivite/cricket dust) so he's getting some calcium and vits. He is creaping in to adulthood now when they start to eat more greens and less bugs anyway, that combined with the recent cold spell could explain it.

The only other thing to concider is when was his UV bulb last replaced? Recomendations range from 6 months to a year before they start to degrade but if he's having trouble digesting bugs from lack of UV he may just stop eating them.

Hope that helps, if you are still worried it's always worth a vet check just to put your mind at rest.

Thanks Tizzy im gonna get him some crickets tomorow and see if he will eat them,i really hope he does.thanks for the help.
