For a couple of days now my corns been very reclusive and looking dull, he finally poked his head into view today enough for me to see his eyes have clouded over, im assuming this is a sign that he's about to shed and nothing to do with me overfeeding (2 fuzzies at the weekend and one midweek. The previous owner fed him one a week) seeing as he seems to have become much longer and thicker since ive had him. Couple of questions, do i abstain from feeding and handling and is there anything i should do to make him more comfortable?
Yes, he is getting ready for a shed and yes you're feeding a bit too often. I would not feed more often than every 5 days and every 7 days when a year old.
Some will feed during the shedding process, but remember that their vision is highly impaired during this time so they can be stressed easily so probably best not to handle.
You can put a moss hide in, but to be honest Corns don't really need much help to shed as long as they have a rock or bit of bark or something rough to rub against.
