My 3-yr-old corn is wheezing slightly. There's no discharge from his nostrils and he seems healthy. If there's any worry here, please can someone give me a list of vets. I live near Buckingham.

initially make sure the temps are up to 30*C, if you have a spare heatmat put it in the cold end of the viv so he doesn't stay in the cold end - snakes often do this to inhibit the onset of symptoms. alternatively, depending on your setup, get the mat underneath/covering 2/3rds of the floor space and move his hide to the middle from the cold end.
if there's no mucous from his nostrils or mouth i'd try that first and monitor him for a few days before rushing him to a vet.
(and try not to panic )

also as well as your heatmat which should be running off the thermostat, install a 40 to 60 watt heat bulb aswell to give your snake a nice warm air temperature in the viv and not just floor temperature, in essence with heat mats its just the heat mat that reaches the warm end temperature so when that snakes at the cold end its not feeling any benifit from the heat mat whatso ever. with a heat bulb some of the heat travels at the cool end. and also with the current weather, to get the cool end to 70 to 75F i have to have a heat bulb on aswell. other wise the cool end is like 60 to 65\f as they say warm end (heat mat temperature (85F) and cool end 70 to 75F

also i forgot to mention, if theres no bubbling coming from the mouth or nostrils. and your snakes behaviour hasnt changed and he still seems healthy and active and tongue flicking he should be ok if you keep the right temperatures. and with this wheezing- is it a quiet wheezing - like you wouldnt hear it if you wasnt actually listening for it? if so i would jut wait and see coz as soon as you see any bubbling of the nostrils you know its definatley got a respiratory infection.then i would consider taking him to the vet.
