How long have you had him? If hes only new give him a while to settle in.. and you can maybe try putting a glove on when you handle him so you wont feel it.. my understanding is they become tame through regular handling..

Is he like that at other times too?

If it's just at feeding time then it could just be that he's in feeding mode because he can smell the defrosting pinkie, and maybe sees your hand as a possible threat or something to steal his food...

We are taming ours (although you never really tame them, they just learn that you're not going to eat them!) by carefully and confidently picking him up and handling him for 10 - 15mins per day (apart from the 2 days after he's been fed).

They soon chill out when they're exploring on your hands...

Ahh, yeah, just give him a while to settle in, he'll soon be fine with you, once he's realised you don't want to eat him =)

He means feed it IN a seperate tub

Your snake might still be settling in and feeling a bit freaked out at the move and change of surroundings... and if he was shedding then that can cause them to be more defensive too as they are more vulnerable around that time.

Let them settle for a week and try again. Good luck!
