Hi guys,

I have only seen my corn snake poop 3 times since I got him on 1 March, and I have never found any deposits in his viv. I cleaned out the viv today and disinfected it, but found no poop that I could identify. He is well in all other ways, very active, eats 2 pinks every 5 days without fail, never regurgitates feeds, perfect little fella. I have tried the bathing trick and that worked 2/3 times but not today. Should I worry? I am assuming he does go regularly and the wood shaving on the viv floor are good at absorbing it all up. Any thoughts would be welcome.

Mancunian, I've generally found that the wood chippings/shavings used as substrate will clump together when the snake poo's, rather than actually absorb it. If you are worried then try giving ur snake a bath. I feed mine every Friday and on the monday morning I pop him in the bath in a couple of inches of warm water. He has a swim about for a few minutes then has a poop. It works EVERY time for me. Just don't forget to clean your bath out afterwards lol
