Hi guys,
I have only seen my corn snake poop 3 times since I got him on 1 March, and I have never found any deposits in his viv. I cleaned out the viv today and disinfected it, but found no poop that I could identify. He is well in all other ways, very active, eats 2 pinks every 5 days without fail, never regurgitates feeds, perfect little fella. I have tried the bathing trick and that worked 2/3 times but not today. Should I worry? I am assuming he does go regularly and the wood shaving on the viv floor are good at absorbing it all up. Any thoughts would be welcome. |

Mancunian, I've generally found that the wood chippings/shavings used as substrate will clump together when the snake poo's, rather than actually absorb it. If you are worried then try giving ur snake a bath. I feed mine every Friday and on the monday morning I pop him in the bath in a couple of inches of warm water. He has a swim about for a few minutes then has a poop. It works EVERY time for me. Just don't forget to clean your bath out afterwards lol |
