HI there, How often do you clean out you vivs and fauns? I have been spot cleaning. On the care sheet it says at least once a month, but is that enough? I put down a layer of kitchen roll then some aspen. My corn always likes to snooze under the kitchen roll or in the toilet roll hides at each end
All depends on the snake, hatchlings don't make much of a mess, some snakes are just dirty! Nagini (our Mexican Black King Snake) used to have to be cleaned once a week, she used to rub it all over the sides of the tank.
A month is usually okay for most snakes, but decide how long is enough on how much spot cleaning you are doing.
I do all my reps a full deep clean, disinfect everything and new substrate about every 6-8 weeks. I spot clean pretty much everyday and clean the sides and glass about once a week. Hope that helps.
