I know this is a bit odd but I'm so pleased that my baby corn has eaten! I tried the day I git him and he was having none of it and last night he was refusing it, so I was on this forum and read a bit about leaving it in the hide and it worked. The hides are butter tubs with a hole in them, so I turned it upside down, left the pinky in and checked this morning and there was no pinky anywhere so I am assuming he's ate it. Yeah, If only Ralph my Royal Python was as easy to feed!

Last night I took the substrate out and left only newspaper on the bottom with a hide on each side and the water bowl in the middle, just so he has less to be distracted by. I didn't know they buried their food though. That's good to know, thanks.

it's actually my Royal python that buried his mice when he doesn't want to eat, never known a corn do it but it's worth checking just in case! |

I have not heard of a Royal burying their food, it makes me giggle, i could imagine the look on my face if I found a rat in the substrate. LOL ! It's good to know thought, gives me something else to look out for. I may try the same technique with Ralph, putting the rat in the hide. It can be quite frustrating when they won't eat but he will get there!

Fantastic work! Give yourself a pat on the back! Babies sometimes seem more challenging to get feeding than the adults. |
