If a snake has some minor scale damage will it go away in their next shed? I only ask because I was handling Sirius the other day and I noticed he had a 'rough' scale. Its fine if he is moving forwards but if he changes his mind and goes backwards I occasionally feel it - I think he may have caught himself on something whilst exploring my desk and have since made sure there are no bits of stray tape, rough edges etc, but think he may have stuck to a wee bit of tape. It isn't visible and he's gone super grey so I'm guessing he'll shed in the next few days. He's had a couple of baths too and seems in good health so I'm not worried, but thought it was worth asking anyway |

Where to is it? Does the scale come up? Might be the snakes genital hole. |

Its near his neck so.. um. Yeah. I don't think its that The scale doesn't obviously come up, hence I can't actually find it, I just feel it some times. |

Good prompt for paranoia there..! Why would a snake feel pointy? I wouldn't describe it as pointy -its like a scale catches me or something.. it doesn't seem to bother him though... I'll try again to find it tonight, but there isn't anything obvious and all his scales on his underside look fine - I may have neglected to mention it was on his underside.. on the 'edge' if you will.. |

lol sorry my bad, i misread the post. It will be the corners of the scales on the under side. When they move they stick out sometimes. Its normal. I notice more when they are blue. The scales stick out a tiny bit more. |
