i noticed that my snake was trying to escape last night, she seemed to be biting at the mesh on the lid of her viv quite violently trying to open it, is this something they do or is she unhappy about something? tom |

Could be something they are unhappy with- equally it can just be there hobby. Corns love to try and escape and if he thinks the mesh is the best place he'll keep playing with it until he gets bored.
One thing that they don't like is vibrations. Is the viv near a radio?
If not, just make sure the lid is very secure so you don't have an escapee on your hands. |

her viv is in our lounge, the other side to the tv and stereo, trouble is, there are no front doors on the viv, just a sliding mesh lid so i have to take off the heat lamp then reach down into the viv to pick her up, dont think she likes it but i'll work on it! |

They don't normally like being taken from above, but as long as your slow and if possible, put your hand in beside her for a few seconds before you scoop her up and it might make her less nervous. |
