I tend to use boxes aswell. For some reason they seem to prefer it more than the caves and wood hides i buy for them.
I still use a standard lunch box in my Viv, ever since realising how much they like it. 2 of my snakes are about 4 foot, one is touching 5ft, it's amazing that 12-13 ft of snake can fit in a lunch box. When they next do it, i'll have to get a piccy.
Looks great! I started out with a converted tank. One thing i do when i get a new snake is to keep it on kitchen roll or newspaper for the first few weeks. By doing that it makes it 10 times easier to spot any illnesses that might be lurking and you can see easily if the snake is passing food properly. (easy to spot mites on white kitchen roll aswell)After a few weeks when im happy the snake is healthy i move to whatever substrate i wish (aspen for me) Just some ideas!..
looking good, that was my first viv when I got cecil, now cecil is in a 2ft handbiult viv and coco my hatchling is in the perfecto. for my hides coco has a small exo terra cave and half a coconut shell and for cecil I made my own out of papier mache, using the bottom of a lunch box for one and his water bowl as I found him hiding under that alot as moulds
lost track of the day's now, but I'm getting my amel stripe corn on the 2nd of August!!!
