Ok, so housing first, from what i can gather wee baby snakes need relitivly small spaces due to a replilian agraphobia, yes?
Heating, what do I need?
Plastic or glass tank?
How big the water bowl?
Umm...
Ooo, feeding, in a seperate area/contaner to living accomidation?
Hight, will the little one want to climb?
Furnature, wood? plastic? |

If you are getting a baby, you'd only need a little terrainium type tank or a rub the size of a sandwich box.
You'll need a heat mat and mat stat to keep him warm and a water bowl big enough for him to sit in.
We feed our snakes in a cat little tray, so that's cheap and cheerful.
They do like to climb, but not really high.
The most important thing you need is two hides- one for the warm end and one for the cool end. They love to hide, even if it's just in a toilet roll tube. |

Yes, a 9L RUB is quite a common first house for a hatchling or a Perfecto starter viv.
Heating, what do I need?
A heat mat with a mat thermostat
Plastic or glass tank?
Either, RUBs are plastic, Perfectos are glass.
How big the water bowl?
Big enough for snakey to get into if desired.
Umm...
Ooo, feeding, in a seperate area/contaner to living accomidation?
Advisable to stop substrate being ingested, but if you are using kitchen towel in the house while young, no real need.
Hight, will the little one want to climb?
Some do like to, but not really necessary.
Furnature, wood? plastic?
Anything, toilet rolls, ash trays, flower pots, just make sure they are sterilised. Also some soft woods such as Pine and Conifers and Cedar can be harmful to the snake.

What about handling? Not for a day or so after food? How long can we play without causing distress? |

I'd say at least 10 minutes a day while young, just to get them used to being handled, then whenever you can when they are grown.
Don't handle a day or so after being fed. |

i don't handle for 48 hours after feeding and handle my little one everyday and like Blackecho said only for about 10 mins but then the little sod won't go back in it's viv, when u get him or her let them settle in for about 7 to 10 days to get used to there new surroundings before handling. |
