It is 2 words put together naga meaning snake and indra who was king of the gods.

apophis is the greek form of egyptian apep and apep is known as the serpant of the nile and he was an enemy of the sun god. The meaning of both names is to slither.

In Egyptian mythology, Apep (also spelled Apepi, and Aapep, or Apophis in Greek) was an evil demon, the deification of darkness and chaos, and thus opponent of light.

An Evil Demon, the opposite of light, But the deity of dark.
HMMMMM maybe 'Darth' would've been better.

http://www.20000-names.com/dragon_names.htm

APEP Egyptian myth name as the personification of evil, seen as a giant snake, serpent or dragon. Known as the Serpant of the Nile or Evil Lizard, he was the enemy of the sun god. Meaning of the name is uncertain but maybe connected to the root pp, meaning "to slither."

just thought i'd add that as well
