I just got some stuff off ebay - a plastic terrarium, water dish, plant etc.. really great bargain but absolutely filthy definitely needs sterilizing.. does anyone have any recommended methods? I would hate for anything to be harbouring mites, diseases or other general filth.. would boiling water and some good detergent be enough?!?!
(In more exciting news I may have found some baby snakeys.. I just hope they are still around when I get back from hols!) |

You could use sterilising tablets, like the ones that are used in babies milk bottle sterilisers, after you wash it out first though. |

Trying not to get too excited in case they are all gone when I get back (the seller can't hold them for me), but fingers crossed!
Cheers for the help |

Cleaning revealed some very wrong things last night.. many little bugs (teeny black ones.. I assume they were mites), lots of scrappy bits of old sheds, fecal matter etc clinging to the fake plants .
I'm going to bake everything I can to kill off anything that may be lurking despite a thorough soak overnight. I feel sorry for this guys snake if its still around.. |
