a kenyan sand boa is really small
to get any venomous you need to obtain a DWA licence
kaz, snakes have developed venom to kill prey not bite people, some species will go out of their way to advoid humans, and hemotoxic venom starts digesting the prey from the inside

you could drink a pint of it and it would not harm you at all, its only when it gets into your blood stream that it does real damage by attaching itself to the protiens in your blood, and turns your blood into clots, breaks down capilleries resulting in massive tissue trauma and damage. where as neuro toxins attack the synapses in your nervous system which shuts down your cardiac and respiratory system

oh yes really overfaced myself getting him! He'd been lost for a year, at a pretty formative time of his life where he should have been getting used to being handled. Instead he was on the loose, fending for himself with no human interaction at all, shame cos he was a really pretty lad. The only other jap rat owner I've spoken to rarely handles his but uses it for training people for their DWA!
~Really~ made me appreciate how amenable corns are, lol

Ha! Training snake! Are they more naturaly aggressive than most pet snakes anyway or was it just because of the lack of handling and fending for itself?

my mate who keeps venomous told me, keep a green tree boa for 2 years and record how many times you get bit, and if there was venom in that bite, how many times you might of died, then think do i want to keep a snake that requires a DWA
