in the way that hens lay eggs, wether they've mated or not....do corns do this? I reaise this may sound silly, but dont know what sex Blaze is, and am not planning on breeding or co-habiting with another snake - but i keep reading horror stories about snakes becomming egg bound and dont want this to happen with Blaze (IF my snake is a she)!!
Thanks

If you search for 'slugs' you will find some info about eggs that can be laid by a female that hasnt been mated....like this topic - http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5693&SearchTerms=slugs

Well letting the snake know its breeding season will probably make it more likley, but then you go into ethics when you think about creating a costant light cycle 365 days a year.

Its really not worth worry about.

Could also maybe like sensing a male nearby have anything to do with slugs as well? Sorry if I'm thread jacking but it's something I've heard about that makes it more likely.

Indeed but I wondered if it made it more likely. I'm not really sure if snakes can sense each other near by.. I guess they must emit some snakey smell that they can pick up on though?
