Thanks Mouse! Are the small chinese take-away tubs ok to use for the individual hatchlings? Are air holes required? Thanks |

Yes, they're fine and yes they are! :D I've got holes at each end of mine.
When they hatch they'll still have the yolk they're feeding off, so wait until after they have had their first shed before feeding them. Feed them one pinky. (Generally 1 a week) |

Sounds like not a bad result mate, i would imagine the ones that died are the ones that were massaged out, after being in the snake its unlikely they will survive anyway. Just keep an eye on them, morning and evening is fine, be sure to check they dont rummage around and turn the other eggs over, you can mark the top of the egg with a pen so you can see if they roll. You deffo want air holes for the babies! |

Am sure they will mate, they are very hardy little creatures.chances are that if they have survived this long, they will go all the way! |

Blimey CADMAN, You and your snake certainly seem like you have been through a lot! I really hope that after all this you get a few hatchlings as a reward for all both of yours hard work and perseverance! Let us know if they all hatch alright! xx |

Right, the eggs are about 56 days old now, and I'd say 3 are looking healthy, white and plump. Should I be doing anything in preparation? i.e. how soon after they hatch should I take them from incubator and put them in RUB's?
Also, I read somewhere that if it goes much past 55 days, I should attempt to cut open an egg in case the snake has lost its egg tooth?? Is this correct?? Seems a bit harsh?
Thanks all CADMAN |

same here, I lost a gorgeous amel by doing that, and it was literally like 4-5 days before they all hatched too.
Mine were about a week and a half late, so patience is the key (I know it's hard!!!)
generally 55-60 days is the window, but some are lazy. :D
hope it all goes well! |

Yikes!!!!! Just read that thread!!! Thanks Guys, I'll hang on, as hard as it is!!! Eggs are looking nice and plump so fingers crossed! How soon do I need to take the hatchlings out of the incubator and into their RUBS's? I ask this because I am out of the house from 5:30am until 6:30pm and would hate them to hatch and then die in the incubator cos I wasnt home in time. |

Don't panic mate, you don't need to move them quickly. To be honest, it may take 24-48 hours for them to actually leave the egg! As for being late, my butter motleys were due last week, the 24th, they only just starting to come out now, I cut 2 of them, but only the egg and that was last week, they are only just starting to come out now! As long as the eggs look good then I wouldn't worry. |

I know the feeling, my amels are due now, but the butters are a week late so I wouldn't be surprised if they were too! That takes me to the due date for the anery motleys then I can see it all happening at once, but it is exciting!! |

So, I checked on the eggs this morning.... And there was a tiny head looking back at me from one of the eggs!!! It's little tongue was going ten-to-the-dozen too!!!! I made some holes in the top of the egg container this morning so that if they do hatch, they will have some fresh air to breathe. I have some rubs on standby so will move the hatchlings ot these as soon as they arrive!!!
