i was looking in my woods yesterday and i saw a great looking piece of wood so i brought it home to put in my viv and the same with a bit of driftwood from the beach, so i wondered if my snake would get any parasites off them and how could i make them safe to put in my viv?lol.

I wouldn't put them straight in the viv as yes it could give parasites. But just follow the guide that Gmac gave and they'll be fine.

I've looked around for a branch for when i get my boa to put in his RUB but can't seem to find any half descent ones :(

This link may help....it includes some other links in it as well - http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8993&SearchTerms=driftwood

You do need to be careful about what wood you do put in as some it toxic to snakes, as mentioned in the link you were given.

Checkout this link as well (2nd page) as it warns you about the dangers of using driftwood - http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8509&whichpage=1&SearchTerms=beach
