hey guys, got given baytril antibiotic from the vet .4mg per day. I was also given a syringe but i have no idea how to get mystery to open his mouth or even how to open it myself. gave it a go but im sure i wasted 0.3mg.
oh just thought maybe i can feed him pinkies with the stuff already in? he normally eats large mice. but the meds hes meant to take for 6 days. would a pinky per day be a bad thing?
I have not yet needed to administer oral meds, put to open a snakes mouth I use either a sexing probe, or one of those school rulers that gets thinner towards the sides.
As for opening his mouth then you could try matty's ideas but do not try to give him a pinky a day, snakes digestive systems don't work in the same way as ours, their built to eat a learge prey item every few-several days, they cant constantly digest food.
