Was just wondering how big a piece of wood I'll need to build a 2ft viv? Oh, and also, where do you get the glass and the runners? How long does it usually take you to build one?

theres a place near me that does perspex for a very reasonable price when my housemate did his viv i think the sheet cost less then £5 and its simple enough to cut (helluva lot easier then glass) if you wanted we could probably post you some next time we are up that way :)would need a measurement tho, his viv cost him about £50 in nice laminated wood and took about 5 hours to make in total was just spread over a few days ill get him to put pics up later when he gets back from work, but to be honest building a viv is nice if you can get good cheap wood if not there was a thread on here with essentiall the same viv he built from wilkinsons for like £65 with glass not perspex

time to build a viv (depends on how good at diy you are)
size of wood (youll build one easy out of a sheet of 8'x4' and have left over)
glass either ebay or local glazier
runners if i can be bothered i will make out of wood otherwise ebay there is a seller on there that sells the runners and handles for a few quid
seeeing your corn in his/her new viv priceless
