Hi all,
Steve's new viv has come, it is made out of hardboard and not been treated,is it ok to varnish it, if yes is there a particular kind of varnish i need or can anyone do the trick? also is it ok to varnish the inside pieces too?

Yes, im pretty sure i read that a normal wood varnish is ok and safe for snakes. You just have to let it dry out and defumigate. |

I would use it then let it try out and plug the heatmatt in or your heat source and leave it on for a day or so to make sure all the fumes have escaped from the viv then you may put steve in his new home , Hope he likes it good luck let us know how you get on and will want to see pics |

LOL Steve, good job you know what i mean. Steve has shed today in 3 pieces but much quicker and better than last time and has very quickly devoured 2 x 4g pinkies, i weighed him beforehand and he is now a chunky 24g he has 1 x 4g pinkie left, going shopping this week for some fuzzies. |

I moved Casper upto a 3g fuzzy this week. Its crazy seeing the difference in size. The 3g Fuzzies are much bigger than 3 - 4g pinks lol. |
