Hello any of the above or anyone else in and around the Bristol area; do you know the NEAREST place I can get some frozen rodents either the biggest mice or wiener rats (preferable)?
I know I can get stuff cheaper online (and have done) but the suppplier I have at the moment (Dad's friend; wiener rats 75p each) has given me HUGE wiener rats which are more like small adult rats than wieners. Anyway tried them with LegLess, she started, ate the head, then thought as I do that its too big- even for her.
Just need somewhere I can get a few proper sized ones until I can sort out with my dad's friend. |

Soz (forgot you can't edit OP):
I'm in Clevedon so the nearer the better.
Before you mention it- I use Jurassic Reps and they'll be closed before the missus gets home so I can blag the car. Somewhere closer.
Cheers |

When I lived in Clevedon I used to go to Cadbury Garden Centre just outside Congresbury- Smallway Congresbury, Bristol BS49 5AA, United Kingdom 01934 875 700
Had quite a good rep section when I lived there and is only about 15 mins outside of the Don. Don't know if it still does reps but is maybe worth a call. |

Wicked. Cheers Rach and Matty, especially for a quick response.
I'll give 'em a shout and find out when they open and close!

Ok Lee thanks. I don't mind getting a pack even if its a bit more. I'll sort the other guy out to get me some proper sized ones next time.
SB- No I sent the letter and not heard any reply yet but have given him 14 days..... here's to hoping!
I think we should set one up! Have our own special sig logo!?! Do people often ask you: "how can you be a veggie and feed a snake dead rodents?" |

Yer Nazzle! We're not that scarce are we?!
Yer Rach, it's usually that or "The snake's eating it, not me!"
Someone should design a logo!? Maybe a snake eating a carrot or something! I'm not the best at that sort of thing- took me 5 months to get my sig on here!

Have you tried TSM reptiles? They do frozen delivered to your door, and they are cheap! I haven't personally used them, I keep saying I will then never get round to it! I had a chat with the guy, Simon, last year at mainstone, and had a look at the quality of his food, and it was spot on, really good quality. Pinkies are like 16 quid per 100, very good value. He has a website, but I forget the details. |

Thanks Mike but I just needed a quick pick up for a couple of feeds until I sort out the over-size difference with my regular supplier.
Ok, I just came back from Cadbury Garden Centre with a pack of 10 wieners. They are a little smaller than the normal ones I get but I will pair them up in 2's I think. At the moment it'll be better to give 2 to make up the size than 1 that is over-sized.
I saw a nice late '09 bloodred there too. I don't normally like the brighter morphs but I must say he was a cute little guy. They're quite expensive though IMO. £65 for him and £70 for a late '09 anery type A!
They also had a Royal that is either very friendly or as bold as brass as he poked his head out when I arrived and by the time I left he was curled in front of the glass which suprised me a bit compared to the nature of most Royals
.... I feel a new snake is in order but it's tempting the OH! |

That's quite cheap for a bloodred, but too expensive for the anery! Bloodreds are better as adults, as a baby you can't appreciate their true colour or patter, it takes about 2 years for adult colours to settle. |

Yeah I do like the vividness of the adults/sub-adults. Yeah thought worth it for the bloodred as they aren't quite as common... Saying that though LegLess (my anery) is a 1 in a million!
£15 Rach thats CHEAP! How long ago was that? |
