Freddie is about 2 years old, 2 and a half foot long and weighs 151 grams.

We only got him yesterday so havent fed him yet, the pet shop owner said he's on 1 medium mouse.

Is this enough for him or should i try him with 2 when i feed him next week? I would of thought for his size he would of weighed a bit more than 151 grams.

Thanks all

try him with one.. you dont want to rush him too much too soon, then you could try upping the food to one large mouse every 10 days

Yeah we're going to see how he tackles one, then we might put him on 2 in a couple of weeks to get him ready for a larger mouse thanks

i'd go for 2 smaller items initially as they'll be easier to digest, when he's feeding regularly on 2 move him up a size providing the next size up isn't more than 1.5 times the width of his body at its widest point

Agreed. I'd see how he manages on his first feed- how much effort and time he takes to eat one and judge it from there.
