doubling up on food before moving up a size is the best way to get the stomach used to a bigger meal even if the first few meals of the next size up will be smaller that what its currently eating.. tbh i wouldnt worry too much about the weight of the food when transitioning up a size

I dont weigh my snakes food, never have though I might weigh Croc's when he starts feeding.
same.. ive never weighed it - tbh its too much hassle, i find it easier to go by what the snake can manage without too much difficulty and how they are growing.. i have small medium and large fuzzies available in my freezer so if one struggled with a medium fuzz the next timei can give a slightly smaller one
the royals food though does get weighed

Why the difference HannahB? Just curious as to why you would weight the royals feed but not the corns.
