Do many people on here feed 2 x Fuzzys before moving up to small mice?

If feeding 2 items before moving up then dont you risk taking a large drop in total food intake when they move up?

Ie, if your feeding 2 x 7g Fuzzys, Then you move up to a 10g, thats a 4g drop in total intake.

How do most people taper up?

Do you just feed singularly increasing in size?

Thanks

Gaz

i always double up before moving up a size, helps prepare their stomachs for a larger meal because its still easier to digest 2 small meals

I do what lee does aswell. Just move him up to two before you move him to the next size to help prep his stomach

Okay cheers.

If you feed 2 (and they can handle 2) then dont you think that when you put them onto 1 of the next size up then they are getting less?

Thanks

doubling up on food before moving up a size is the best way to get the stomach used to a bigger meal even if the first few meals of the next size up will be smaller that what its currently eating..
tbh i wouldnt worry too much about the weight of the food when transitioning up a size

same.. ive never weighed it - tbh its too much hassle, i find it easier to go by what the snake can manage without too much difficulty and how they are growing.. i have small medium and large fuzzies available in my freezer so if one struggled with a medium fuzz the next timei can give a slightly smaller one

the royals food though does get weighed

Why the difference HannahB? Just curious as to why you would weight the royals feed but not the corns.
