my snake looks healthy as he still has shiny skin, he is alert, goes to the toilet but looks like he is egg bound .... but it is a male. not sure what is wrong with him does anybody have any ideas??? he is fine up until about 3/4 of the way down then the last 5 inches before his vent is very swollen almost like he is overweight just in that area and it is also squishy. it doesn't seem to bother him as his temperament is fine and he moves around fine but just looks odd. The last owner said it was due to lack of exercise and muscle waste but will get better with exercise and handling ... is this correct???

If anyone has any ideas either comment on here or you can email me on midgefreeman@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks.

Cant really comment without seeing it, have you got a photo? An eggbound snake feels solid and not squishy.

I dont think it will have much to do with muscle. I would take it to a rep vet for a check.
