So after all advise given to me, I've followed, and now she's not eating after her fisrt feed. last week she didnt feed and yesterday she didnt... maybe the mice are too hot or too cold not too sure she just smells and slithers away. Heres a lil more info below.
she is about 3 half feet 4 feet, the viv is 46 x 1, temps are 30 one end 20 the other, she is drinking and moving from one side to the other and often in the mornings is on the lower temp side moving later on in the day to and from the warm side.
So you know that I broke one rule.... (whoops) feeding her the day after getting her, which to seemed to love she ate it str8 away. she did do a few poos and wees.
No sign of sheding, you know the dull coloring and blueish eyes, so now I'm wondering what may be wrong..... I handle her and she seems fine.... tongue flickering moving loads |

tbh at that size she should be fed roughly once every 7 - 10 days on one mouse or larg mouse..
2weeks isnt particularly long time to go without feeding.. snakes can go for months without feeding with no problems at all.. as long as shes drinking and isnt loosing weight then i wouldnt worry too much |

When I first got Kellog he refused to feed and continued to ignore offers of food for 13 weeks. This forum helped me understand why (he was horny) and they gave me advice on what to do...just keep on as though he was feeding, offering him a mouse every 5 days, dangle it (which he ignored), then leave it in overnight and remove in the morning if it hadnt been eaten (which it never was). Then one day I went through the same routine not expecting any different and he suddenly struck!! I cant tell you the excitement and relief I felt when he did that. This forum was invaluable and certainly kept me sane during that time because we do worry and panic...these snakes are our responsibility, their life and health are in our hands. It is natural to react to the slightest change you dont understand.
Are you weighing her? It would be a good idea to do so. This means that if the non-feeding continues you can see if she is losing any weight with it. Kellog only lost a small amount in all that time which showed it was a natural reason for not eating.
As HannahB said, as long as she is handling ok and is drinking and pooing it is not something to worry about yet.
Do keep us up to date on how she is doing.

4 week now...... still active as usual though and drinking and lil pools of gunk here and there. I called the vet today cause I'm still worried even though 13 weeks have not past..... can't see any ribs, tognue flickers really fast and is bright red. One thing!!!
She started on a mouse last week then spat it out? should I try smaller meals or is she becoming Pro anna? in that case I will get extremingly worried. I posted a video of her playing today. |

Hi, when I first got my corn she wouldn't eat for a few weeks so I put her back on much smaller mice, she ate these straight away and it got her back into a routine of eating. Fingers crossed for you. |

DM's suggestions are good, especially about leaving the mouse in the viv overnight.
Read this link as it will give you some idea of what you can do to tempt a snake to eat - http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3720

Hi guys, Guess what lol Pythonic Fireayra is a boy, bless got him checked out by vet and was told he may be in season. My partner failed to give me this information when we got (her) him....... I'm a bit said but overly happy. I've only had female animals in the past. Now I have a son snake, its like finding out your child wants a gender change lol so should I still attempt to feed him every tuesday or just keep changeing his water for now? Thanks. |

In season? No such thing in corns, he might have simply meant he was in the mood for breeding.
Continue trying to feed him as usual, he will eat when he is ready. |

Am glad you have got this news Rogue (did suggest it on the Facebook post you made). You are the 2nd forum member with a non-feeding snake to discover the 'she' is not feeding because 'she' is actually a 'he'.
I refer you to my previous post on this, which was when Kellog didnt eat for 13 weeks because he was 'horny'.

I know Hiper has recommended Reptoboost, but I think this is only necessary if he is losing weight and you have concerns about his health....whereas what is happening at the moment is totally natural and something you just have to wait for him to come out of.
I am very glad you now have an explanation as to why he isnt eating. Surely it doesnt matter if your snake is a boy or a girl as long as it is healthy! Does this mean a change of name?
