Hi
Another question!!
I can't afford lots of different sized homes for a snake.
Can I start with a large faunarium inside it's final sized viv , sectioned off, then gradually increase the living area as the snake grows? If I make sure the temps are ok in the overall enclosure will that be ok?
How do other people manage or did you all keep buying new housing?
Gosh, you really are a tolerant bunch with a pest like me!!!!!!

Dont have the experience to answer your question regarding housing as have only dealt with adult size snakes.

But I will deal with the above quote!!

YOU ARE NOT A PEST!!!

You are the sort of forum member we love, who is doing as much research as possible for the welfare of your snake, before you get it!

So keep questioning and we will keep answering!

the dark side has a massive classifieds section, ebay is, well ebay......and there's various sites like preloved.com where you can sell on outgrown vivs and equipment to get your money back AND purchase new or secondhand equipment at a reasonable price...........basically it doesn't have to be a huge outlay.

but yes, sectioning off an 'adult-sized' viv to a suitable size for the current inhabitant is effective and also provides some storage your temps will be whatever you set up your stat to maintain at, regardless of the size of the viv or wattage of the heatmat

and no you're NOT a pest lol
