I weighed and measured Mont and the other 3 the other week so I had a general idea of what their sizes were in comparason with eachother.. are these roughly ok for them? I know there is no set weight for corns as they all vary but I just wanted to check that they sound ok..

Mont - 3months old - 18inches 21grams
Edison - 2months old - 10inches 8grams
Liberty - 2months old - 10.5inches 10grams
Aura - 1month old - 9.5inches 8grams

Monts now on 2pinkies every 5-6 days and the others (except Aura whos being fussy) are all on 1 pinkie every 5 days, that sounds about right doesnt it?

Dont know how you can measure them though, I'm taking a guess that Jessie is 35cms which is roughly 13/14 inches

That sounds right to me Hannah. You'll notice he'll increase in size pretty rapidly in a couple of months. Wow...love that you've 4 snakes and they are all quite young. Are they your first ones?

I'm just thinking of getting my second one now but it's taken ages to convince my bf.

Its like having a baby HannahB, although I know you wouldnt have experienced this yet but the other mums on the site will understand, when they grow up you can never believe they were ever as small as they were when they were born. Its why it is good to do a diary, cos you can look back and see the evidence there in black and white. xxx

How DO you measure a wiggly snake? Or do you measure the shed and then do some clever maths to compensate for any stretch during shedding?

I have just measure Kellog's latest shed, as it is really the only way to measure a snake - you cant exactly tell them to lie still along a ruler! I think you have to deduct 10% from the shed length but am sure that 'Those who know'will correct me if I am wrong. *thinks to herself 'please be right for once, please be right* xxx

yeah thats how you do it kellog
i also get the tape measure and when they are exproling my bed and fully stretched out place ti next to them so i get a general idea of what their size is so i have some idea of what it should be when i get hold of their shed

I use my son and a piece of string. As Sid is usually quite calm so I can usually run a piece of string down her entire length while my son holds onto Sid.

Somehow think Kellog would land up getting himself and my son tied up in knots!! He managed to handcuff me on Monday just using his coils - I was virtually helpless! xxx
