hi there,
yes this is a very taboo subject, but i am personally all for keeping corns together as long as you;re careful. give them plenty of hides and space, so they can't "argue" over being in the best place. and yes you;re right to feed them seperately, i leave mine for a few minutes after feeding before putting them together.
i have 2 adult females now living together, 1 is slightyl bigger than the other, and i now have 2 hatchlings, a girl and a boy, they live in their own little houses for now, they're only a baby but in the next year or 2 i plane ot put them with the 2 i have already. the only thing i wait for is for them to reach the same size as the older ones, so i've got a bit of wait, until then they will each live in little vivariums on their own.
hope that gives you a good idea of things from my side of debate, but of course you do need to remember that a lot of people are against keeping them together due to the chance they may eat each other, fighting over the "best" spot to rest in. Like with everything though, there are risks. |

the viv my 2 are in at the moment is 4ft x 1ft x 18" high, but tomorrow they'll move into a new one which is 4ft x 2ft x 2ft which i think is by far big enough for the 2.
as long as there are enough hides they should be fine, but please do make your own decision based on all the different opinions flying around here on keeping corns together.

I would have to agree with HannahB, I have seen a pic of a cornsnake eating his best friend another cornsnake that lived together |

I wouldnt, it can be very stressful for snakes to be forced to live together all the time- it would never happen in the wild, they only come together for breeding. it will be a huge strain for the female to be harassed for sex all the time, even when gravid. also, laying multiple clutches a year as a result of the males advances will almost certainly result in premature death, and bad body weight/conditon.
If you do go ahead with this, I would possibly go for a 4 foot viv, to give them more space to escape each other if they get too fed up. you will need to have a separate viv all ready and set up for splitting them up if need be, aswell as a fully stocked first aid on hand for dealing with the after effects of any fights. even though you are at home 24/7, you will need to sleep at some point too! |

Quarentine?
Also if the female isnt in great shape for breeding, its likly she will end up gravid very soon after them being together. |

im no expert but i thought they could breed at any time especially if you dont brumate them in the winter. i did co-habit my snakes n thought they were happy but after having eggs n seperating them we realised that the male was dominating the female. Theyre much happier seperate well the female is. |

She would probably bully him for the best spots. It would also be good to give her a year off from breeding aswell. |

she is an amel. the stumpy tail shouldnt affect her at all.
billy will probably be able to do the job, as long as they are watched like hawks! |

the owners of her have used her for breeding by acident they got given her and for the last 2 seasons had around 14 eggs atime and havnt let her double clutch she was mated with a male that looks the same (amel) and had anerys and norms from what she was saying ive just had billy out and notice the difference in thickness would say she is almost twice as thick but not much longer few inch if that they are feeding her on large mice once a week |

£65 is an alright for a proven breeder. The part missing from the tail is more than I have ever seen, though it shouldnt harm the snake. If you want the animal, then its an alright price. (doesnt hurt to make an offer though). |

If you want a "perfect condition" snake for that price, you wont struggle. |
