hi,
not got the snake yet but am trying to sort out the tank first. i got the heat strip today but am still waiting on the thermostat. bought exo terra digital thermometer today awsell and put that in tank to see what it is. the temp in the tank at the moment is 24.5 oC. by the time ive heated the hot end is it going to give me enough of a gradient?

thanks
mark

to be perfectly honest, bin the E-T dial and go digi..........
the thermometer/therm probe should be on top of the substrate above the heat source, if it's not getting warm enough how much and what type of substrate are you using?

ahh ok, if it's 24*C in the cool end it should still be fine, the ambient temp will be warmer in summer and cooler in winter - providing more of a gradient unless you have your central heating on a lot!
