I am sorry to keep asking a series of daft questions but I can find info on this - if you deforst a mice for a feed and for what ever reason the snake refuses to eat, can the mice be re frozen or do the same human rules apply
thanks again k |

I think You can get away with re freezing them once depending on how long they have been out. I would just throw it away though as they are in expensive and would not tlike the risk. If your Snake does not feed, there are several things you can try, 1. snake and mouse in a tub, covered and left for about an hour, 2. Leave mouse in viv over night 3. slit the nose to draw blood and make it tempting 4. Brain the mouse, cut the head open to expose braim matter, (not nice and not for the squeemish!) But very effective. 5. Scenting, rub the mouse against a rabbit or chick to make it smell like something diffrent! |

If you defrost a mouse to feed your corn i take it that it would have been heated up, therefore no it cannot be refrozen. |

Kellog went 13 weeks without feeding, being offered a mouse every 5 days and I immediately threw away what wasnt eaten (which was a lot of mice). Want what is best for my snake and certainly dont want to do anything that may put him at risk. xxx |

for 80p, it isn't the risk. A badger or cat will happily snack on a dead mouse anyway.
Although some people do refreeze them. I have seen it somewhere. |

As above, it is not safe to refreeze anything that has been heated up..
