How far/long are we talking?

A pillow case with scrunched up newspaper or shredded paper is good.

depends on who it is travelling with.

if its a courier then pillowcase and rub

but if with you then pillowcase would suffice..

I had to transport a snake on what was supposed to be a 4 hour journey once (ended up being nearly 7) luckily i used a rub and pillowcase, but because the heating in the car didn't work then, I brought the mat+stat as well.

Too late as you will have already moved it but just to add I moved all 5 of mine last month long distance from Manchester to Exeter, each in a pillow case in a rube with a heat pad. They did fine for the 8 hour trip and were feeding within days of arrival.
