it was brought to light in allys thread that mods pay to have the right to be a mod (not sure that is english but what the heck) so i was just wondering why do you mods want to be? looking at people like matty and BTD (who i know isnt a mod anymore  ) but you are like 16-17 years old just wondered why you want that responsabilty |

We don't make them pay- we just con them into thinking it's a honour 
Only joking- we choose mods that we think will do a good job, then ASK them if they want to be one. If they say no, then they say no, but most of the time they want to do it, because they like being part of this forum and are happy to help.
Plus it's great for 16-17 years olds like Matty because if he ever needed to say he held a role of responsibility on his CV then he can use us as a reference and we'd give him a glowing report

He has decided not to be a mod anymore as he has realised that he prefers to enjoy the forum as a normal user, but I would like to thank him for his help over the last few months. It's been very much appreciated |

Sometimes I wish that I was still 16 - 17 years old. No mopping up sick when my kids have got a stomach bug and no getting woken up at 2:30am on christmas morning. Ah, those were the days .
I answered the call for help from Kaz and Lewy. I spend most of my time on TRP, Amphibian and RFUK so it's not really any extra effort. Just a case of being able to do something about things rather than having to wait for someone else to do it.

| I know he'll be back - it'll be like Superman II all over again. Clark Kent didn't last long wihtout his powers- not with Terrance Stamp, that scary bird and that beardy man (who looks like Lewy) came to earth and caused a fuss. We just need them to come on here to spur BTD back into superpower mode |
