which is the best agee a cornsnake should be for somone who has never kept a snake before?

the amazing colour of the cornsnake, as it glides through the feild, never a mistake
so as not to wake
the hapless prey before it, this may as well roll over and close it's eyes as the silent hunter shall always get his prize.
the forked tounge can smell you mouse, red eyes can see you stir, if she does not wake and run now, that will be the end of her.

Probably a yearling. Hachlings are very small and quick but with a yearling they are bigger and more chilled out. A yearling will also have some growing to do so you wont miss out on watching it get bigger.

My first corn is 2 months old today, got her just over a week ago.
Yeah she's quick, but I love having pets from 'new' :D

0.0.1 Spur Thighed Tortoise (Melvin)
1.0.0 Cat (Titus)
0.0.2 Fish (Caractacus and ThunderCleese)

Also in my care (temporarily):

I would say a yearling too- past the fiddly stage and an established feeder, but still little and cute and fun to watch growing
