i talk to mine, the only exception is at feeding time, i keep quiet and let them concentrate on eating.

cornsnakes, ratsnakes, bullsnakes, boas and day geckos

i know my mum does lol but the thing is snakes are deaf to air born noises and can only pick up vibrations through the ground lol

i sort of murmure (spelling??) to my snake, especially as i get it out. Things like hello, thats it, slowly out, and im holding you now, its not too scary is it?, dont poo on me please... etc.

well if they have an inner ear they still need an outer ear for the inner ear to pick up the sound which they do not possess.
