I apologise in advance - I'm a prolific photo-taker so consider yourselves warned.

My gorgeous boy (I say 'boy', I've no idea!) who hatched in September of this year. We got him 3 weeks ago and I'm surprised how quickly I fell for him! 1 week ago he went all misty and today his scales look like they're about to start peeling off. I'm very excited!

The day we got him:

Exploring his tank:

First feed (3 weeks ago):

Cheese!

A week ago - going cloudy:

...and today (3 weeks after he came to live with us):

His scales are looking really flaky. Hopefully he'll shed soon:

Rocket head :)

Thanks for looking. I know he's not as exciting as a lot of the beautiful morphs you guys have, but I think he's really cute, and I'm chuffed with him

Basil is stunning, really pretty. As for him not being exciting, all snakes are exciting, whatever their morph

He's a lovely specimen and looks very happy in his viv

Thanks Kez; I certainly think so! He's got such a sweet little face :)

I'm looking forward to him being big enough for a 'proper' viv, but the Exo-Terra is working great so far, and no little fingers have tried to help him escape, which was the main worry!

Aww thanks you guys :D I am so pleased with him. I feel a bit awkward that he was a(n early) Xmas present, but he's for life, not just for Christmas, rest assured.

Well, the day after I took the peely-scale photos, I came down to a fresh new shed, wrapped around his little tree stump! He's more orange now (even more so than in these photos), and one of my cats seems to have suddenly noticed him, 3 weeks after his arrival. Maybe he smells different? I let him have a little sniff of the cat and he rattled his little tail so no more 'contact' between those two for a long time!

He even has a little 'H' in his markings. That's my initial, so we were clearly meant to be
