It is with great sadness that I am posting to say that Pandora has, unfortunately, passed away unexpectedly.
I got this girl in 2013, I've watched her grow into a beautiful snake.... She's always been calm but with a sharp streak, go near her food and she'll have your hand!
She was a very active snake, a good climber compared to most corns! She'd spend every minute she had climbing if she could!
I am devastated that this has happened, and it's made me realise just how much my reptiles truly mean to me... I knew they meant a lot, they are my babies(even the older ones!)... But I never knew JUST how much....
R.I.P my beautiful girl... I don't know what happened, and I probably never will, but I will miss you so, so much baby.... Your quirky style when you poked out of your hide to see me, when you "played" peek-a-boo with me while I was sat on the sofa.... You were always a brilliant eater, never a missed meal...
The day I got her, 8th October 2013.
9th January 2014.
20th March 2014.
Getting bigger- 6th June 2014.
Bigger still- 27th September 2014.

12th June 2015- Her 2nd Birthday!
9th July 2015- Trying so desperately to prove she can still fit in the tub she arrived in on the 8th October 2013.

These are the most recent(well, the best of the most recent) photo's I have of her unfortunately as I've been working so much that I've not had chance to get photo's of everyone for a while.... I had planned to after she shed this week when she was looking her best and I had some time off work....
*I posted this in a group on facebook so apologies to those who have already seen this post.
**She passed away at some point Friday afternoon... She was fine at 9am in the morning, due to shed, etc... I got her out for 5 mins, handled her, checked her over... Got home at 5:30pm and she'd passed away... I sat on the sofa, looked over at her viv and saw her across one of her branches.. I thought "Oh she must have shed/be shedding..." so I got up to check on her and found her gone... My first reaction was to pick her up, and hope she reacted... Although I knew deep down it was too late already... My second reaction was to take her into the bedroom and, as calmly as possible, sit down on the bed to tell Kiz that she had passed... I made it to the bedroom door, and collapsed in tears with her in my hands.... Kiz was up instantly, asking me what was up... When he saw her, he fell silent and just came over to hug me. He said "Oh hun... I'm so sorry...."... He hugged me for a while, I cried while holding her... He held his hands out to take her, I didn't want to let her go but he was gentle with her... He put her in the freezer for me, so that I could bury her when we have a garden.
I couldn't function properly at that point, I just cried and held my hands out like I still had her there... Then he came back, and he hugged me and held me..
Why am I typing this whole experience out again? I don't know. I can't pinpoint a reason... Because I need to talk through it maybe? Or just because I'm trying to wrap my head around it all... I don't know. Now I'm just rambling on.. |

I'm so, so sorry to hear that. Such a lovely - and healthy, and well looked after girl. Pandora was definitely one of my favourites on here, I always enjoyed seeing your beautiful photos of her. I have tears in my eyes reading your post, and sending you virtual hugs :-(
As Kez said above, you gave Pandora a good life, she was much loved, and very lucky to have had such a caring owner as you.
