I have made a big mistake. I fed my snakes, corn snake ate his meal, but the king snake started and I did not realize that she changed her mind.

The mouse was left there for 2 days before I started to smell it. For some strange reason there are now little bugs in both vivariums.

I have looked at images of Mites, but they look similar but not quite the same as they have antennas like ants. Is this mites?

The vivariums are home made, so do I need to keep the snakes in rubs until the vivariums are clear?

Appreciate any help, not sure if they are mites thats the main problem.

Can you get pics of th bugs?

I'd move to rubs asap.

Snake mites won't appear by leaving a mouse in there for a couple of days so unless you have been in contact with another place/snake that had mites it shouldn't be them. As for what they are though without pics it is hard to say but the vivs should get a good clean to get rid of them.

Some types of substrate often come with little weevils bugs that are harmless. Bark is often one of these if it is moist.
What substrate are you using?
