Hey guys hope all is well!
Masuka seems to have gone off his food recently. Usually, he gets a dish of mealworms every other day and eats all of them, and once or twice a week he gets some locusts.
I've noticed in the past week or 2 he hasn't been so interested in his mealies at first I thought coz he was going into shed so thought nothing of it, but he's now shed and still no appetite back (shed around 2 weeks ago roughly)
Any idea what could be causing this?
He last ate 4 days ago, put in more mealies 2 days ago but they haven't been touched.
Going to weigh him tonight as worried he has lost a bit of tail weight |

I've had a look around t'internet and a lot of places say to up the temps in the warm side. They currently sit at 31/32, should I up them to around 33/34? Would that be too high? |

They can get bored of mealies too. Kira went a few months not touching them, had to try so many things to get her back eating. Dubia roaches did it in the end. Her temp goes up to 33 but no higher, she stops again if it is too hot. I think at the minute with the air being so muggy they can't really escape our General temperature. I'd not worry too much just yet, just keep tempting him and see how he gets on. Could he also want to dance with the ladies? |

I'm getting some locusts tonight so see will if he takes them. Always fancied trying dubias but nowhere sells them near me, although one shop a few months ago were starting a colony, will see if they have any for sale yet!
Yea it is quite muggy, maybe that. I'll leave temps for the moment.
Is it dancing with ladies time for them?! |

I'm not sure, I have a girly that's a bit dumb but it could always be a possibility lol. I had to travel to find them too, you can get the off eBay too, but you're still looking at next week as most won't post over the weekend. If you do get them, go for small to medium, Kira had a particularly large medium and she did struggle with it lol. She went absolutely bonkers when she saw them the first time, I'd never seen her 'hunt' like that before! |

Ah the thing with online orders is I have no where for them to be posted to - my boss would have a fit haha!
Anyway, I weighed him to check and he's actually PUT ON weight! So I think he must have grown a bit longer, or maybe I'm just being paranoid haha!
He's back to eating his mealies again, but def going to check out dubias! |

How old is he now? My adults I only offer every other day as they aren't really that interested. Loki at the beginning of breeding season fasted for two months! He started eating again but is being rather fuss and will only eat mealies or wax worms at the minuet. Then there's Myst who is currently turning her nose up at every thing except wax worms (not that she's getting many of them!) I would leave temps as they are as they are about right I wouldn't have thought a degree or two would make much difference. Don't offer anything one night and see if that helps. If you struggle to get Dubia's I have a colony and will post you some if need. |

lol I did wonder about his age, I didn't think he was older than Jeff. That's about right they seem to go in stages with their eating, my only one who hasn't really gone off food for a long stretch is Luna but then she has laid eggs this year |
