Some do Maureen, although it's more normal for males. I've got a female who has been out and about and has now refused 2 feeds. It is strange, some snakes seem to go through their whole lives without doing it and others start at different ages. There's no rhyme nor reason to it. It's important not to assume that over-activity and/or refusing to eat at this time is down to breeding season and check other things, like set-up, anything that might be causing stress, etc.

Hope that helps.

Xxx

We had a female corn that would fast from early February through to late May. We thought she was a he to start with as we bought the snake as male and because of the fasting. However one day he layed a clutch infertile eggs and so he became a she :)
